Where’s the Man in this Picture?

Above photograph is the first shot in a new series for my next book project, Satirica, which will be published later this year.

On another note, if you happen to get the simple fact that – in the absence of sex – men see life as a blinding, endless wasteland of nothingness, you can better appreciate the concept of philandering without conscience — which includes alone time with laptops.

Okay, none of this is particularly new to women, particularly those who can afford therapists and sedatives.

But for the rest of you, the new dominant, independent and morally equivalent female paradigm is pure fantasy in the context of relationships, which is great news for men who don’t have any new paradigms.

Think of it [for men] as winning a Super Bowl every day, as opposed to one every 43 years.

All this newly embraced independence for women quadruples a man’s opportunity to “feed,” which is something men tend to do more than women.

I’m talking about sex, for those of you who were waiting for some extraterrestrial angle.

More specifically, men will absolutely, positively exploit every opportunity for random sexuality if its handed to them without effort. And believe me when I tell you there’s not much effort required.

Just ask a young woman what she wants out of life, and the first thing out of her mouth is career.

“Definitely not marriage!” she’ll scream, often in the middle of Whole Foods.

Music to a man’s ears, my dear.

Okay, so now she’s been not settling down and pursuing career for the past 10 years and there’s no man in sight because they’ve all moved on to some other woman who felt the same way.

Now what the fuck are you going to do?

Did you actually think you could get away with mimicking male behavior without unlocking the door to hell?

Rule #1: If women do not control the game, men will turn it upside down.

See, sexual freedom doesn’t really exist in spite of the fact that it does in principle.

Men feed like they’ve always done; only this time around they’ve grown fat on the spoils and don’t have to life a finger, including time or money.

So now you have men doing what men do and women feeling like they’ve been duped for doing what they thought they were supposed to do, not because they necessarily wanted to behave like sociopaths, but because it was a new birthright they felt they were depriving themselves of.

But sex is an emotional crucible for women, even the most ardent on this point.

It builds men up and bleeds the emotion from women, leaving them feeling empty and scarred.

And while women enjoy the affairs, they still remember the names in spite of the fact that men usually don’t.

But don’t blame them. It’s how they’re wired.

They will hunt when provided the opportunity. They will ravage the living shit out of a woman if she hands herself to him and then forget he ever slept with her, not to mention her first name.

He’s the new paradigm. The food chain in action. He didn’t fuck you. You fucked each other, which doesn’t sound as deferential in a court of law in spite of the fact that it’s true.

You want a gentleman and he wants a whore, because that’s what he’s accustomed to.

If, for any reason, it appears to be any other way, he’s hunting for more of what you gave him last night in exchange for a glass of wine and some pretzel sticks.

Men are quickly losing their respect for women, which is why this liberation thing is and always will be a double-edged sword.

There will always be a fight for dominance, and ironically, when it falls into a woman’s court, she loses respect for a man’s inability to produce…and then emasculates him in the process.

The historians will declare this was the juncture in history where liberation went straight to hell.

Understand that men will stay in relationships for the sex alone.

And as long as they’re not hassled, feel free to tell everyone you have a boyfriend.

However, the moment the sex stops – and the demands increase – you’ll notice commensurate decrease in his presence until he disappears altogether.

See, women have basically set up a win-win for men.

If women are completely liberated, including the pursuit of professional careers [and equality in the household], them the only distinguishing characteristics are sexual organs.

But once reduced to a couple of body parts, the species tends to split off into “small tribes coveting the highest of the sterile skyscrapers” as David bowie once said of the impending apocalypse.

Bowie did a good job with this so I’ll just leave the article here. I’ve had a long week – and weekend – and I’m not talking about sex, drugs and the rest of it. I spent the last 72 hours talking about our culture’s psychopathologies to complete strangers who knew it was all true and stuck around in spite of the fact that it scared their children.
